September at CHACO: Fitness, Focus & Fun with Your Dog

Posted on August 23, 2025August 23, 2025 by Almudena Ortiz Cue

As September rolls in, CHACO Dog Training is excited to bring two unique opportunities for you and your pup to connect, move, and grow together. Whether you’re looking to get active, strengthen obedience, or try something totally new—this September is packed with tail-wagging adventures!

Event 1: Fit Pups Hybrid Walks

Fridays, September 5, 12 & 19 | 9:00 – 10:00 AM | Fort Marcy Park

Imagine starting your Friday morning with a walk that’s more than just a walk. Our Fit Pups Hybrid Walks combine physical fitness with valuable obedience skills like loose-leash walking, focus, and attention. It’s the perfect way to burn energy, practice good manners, and bond with your dog—all while enjoying the fresh morning air.

✔️ Open to dogs 5 months and older
✔️ Limited to 8 teams
✔️ Great for building leash manners and handler focus

Deadline to register: August 29, 2025

Event 2: FitBO™ – A New Low-Impact Dog Sport

Saturdays, September 6, 13, 20 & 27 | 10:00 – 11:00 AM | Tesuque

Ready for something new? Meet FitBO™, an innovative training modality created by Almudena Ortiz Cué. Think of it as a circuit of stations where you and your pup work on precision, connection, and fitness—together. From sits and stands to fluid transitions and focused movement, each week builds on the last, creating a rewarding challenge for both handler and dog.

✔️ Open to 4 dogs (5 months and older)
✔️ People-only orientation for the first session
✔️ A safe, low-impact way to challenge your dog mentally and physically

Deadline to register: September 1, 2025

Why Join?

Both of these programs are designed with one thing in mind: strengthening the bond between you and your dog. Movement, training, and fun are powerful tools for building trust and communication—and at CHACO, we believe every dog-human team deserves that connection.

So, whether you want to stride into fall with structured walks or level up your teamwork with FitBO™, we’ve got something special waiting for you this September.
