“By attending “C.H.A.C.O Dog Training & Behavior Consulting LLC” classes we learned a lot and so did our standard poodle Dash. Almudena has a first-class facility with a large field for classes, within a larger securely fenced area that readily adapts to the wide range of activities she incorporates in her teaching. She is a personable and caring individual as well as a very knowledgeable professional totally committed to helping owners and their dogs.
The classes are usually small, 4 owners with their dogs, which allows some one-on-one time with Almudena when needed, and the classes are nonthreatening and fun for the dog. With her extensive knowledge, she is able to address any special problems encountered. For example, our dog had spent the first nine months of his life in a kennel being mostly ignored. Almudena really helped socialize Dash and he’s become a confident, happy dog, who likes to play and he enjoys the company of other dogs and people.” – Robb & Kate Palmer, Tesuque, NM

“Thanks so much for the excellent recall class that Roxie and I attended. I really enjoyed it. You teach important concepts in interesting ways, and your class is a very different experience than other classes I have taken over the years. It was very helpful and thought provoking.” – Patty Sciarrotta & Roxie
Registration for the Monthly Program is now closed.
Welcome to C.H.A.C.O.’s Canine Fitness Corner, Fit Pups!
Join us for our unique bi-monthly hybrid walks, a perfect blend of fitness, fun, and learning for you and your dog.
Registration closes Saturday, Sept. 7th at 5 pm.
During these on-leash walks, we walk for (some) fitness with our dogs as we explore other elements of canine fitness and some obedience training, like loose-leash walking and attention to the handler.
Requirements:
The class/fitness club is open to eight handlers and their dogs. Dogs must be comfortable working around other dogs and people – no lunging or excessive barking.
Dogs of all breeds, ages five months and up, can participate. Please note: I do not use or endorse corrections, such as leash pops, in training. If this is how you like to train your dog, I respect that. However, the class and my training philosophy are not a good match for folks using corrections with their dog.
We will meet on our bi-monthly outings in a pre-determined location in Santa Fe.
Registration and payment are required to have a spot.
Introductory rate per team per session.

As a pet owner of an emotional dog, it’s essential to be well-versed in the challenges of supporting them. In all my years of working with pet parents and their dogs, I’ve seen
the toll it takes. But with the proper knowledge and support, emotional dogs can live their best lives.
An emotional dog is any dog that exhibits generalized concern or fear—yes, fear and anxiety present themselves in a “spectrum” or even aggression, as most aggression is fear-based.
During this webinar, I will address
1. The specific needs of Emotional dogs
2. The place of management in daily life and
3. Behavior modification from a learning and neuroscience perspective.
4. Find and get the support and help you need.
