It is not always easy to determine exactly how much to feed our dogs. At least this is the case for me and my very active young Border Collie, Stig, so I decided to investigate further.
Now, Stig is wearing a wonderful activity tracker, the Pit Pat Activity and Location Tracker, that not only shows me his location when we are hiking off leash but also tells me how many calories (or steps, if you want to count that) your dog is burning throughout the day.
What I love about this tracker is its simplicity of use, the multiple features it offers, and the fact that you do not need to pay a monthly fee. You purchase the product, and that is it.
One feature I love is learning how many minutes Stig spends “puttering ”.
Here is a screenshot of one of Stig’s daily activity numbers.
Once you have determined how many calories your dog is burning, you can punch in the data from your dog’s food label into their app to get an idea of how much to feed your pup based on their activity. Alternatively, you can ask your DVM for guidance based on your pup’s activity level.
The GPS tracker also works very well, and it is easy to locate your dog on a map via the company’s satellite service.
P.S. This is my honest review. I received no compensation from the company.
