Safe and Enjoyable On-leash Walks for You and Your Dog
You are walking with your on-leash dog when you spot an off-leash dog heading your way fast. Friend or foe? You wonder. Perhaps your dog is afraid of ANY dog regardless if the other dog is “friendly.”
In this four-week- course, we will explore and practice different hands-on techniques that will give you the confidence to deal with the stress of meeting off-leash dogs while walking with your dog.
Dates: Saturdays, Aug. 26th, Sept. 2nd, 9th and 16th. From 8 am – 9 am. The first session is a people-only orientation.
Fees: $ 247.00 (Santa Fe tax included).

Snake Avoidance Training for Your Dog Using Reward-Based Methods
From the perspective our dogs, snakes are interesting and worth exploring at close range. However, even though the above is a natural dog response, we must teach our dogs to refrain from approaching and investigating snakes.In this in-depth-course, we will establish protocols to teach the dogs to recognized the stimulus of a snake by visual, auditory and scent cues AND to refrain from approaching while using only rewards for behaviors.
Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and October 7th. From 10am-11am. The first session is a people-only orientation and is from 10am -11:30 am. Zoom sessions: Friday Sept. 8th and Sept. 15th from 10am -11am.
Fees: $ 711.55 Santa Fe County tax included.
