June 4, 2022 @ 8:00 am – July 2, 2022 @ 8:45 am
Registration Closes on Wed. June 1st at 5pm MT OR when class is full.
This five-week course explores components of canine movement and posture to help your dog move with ease precision and, in the process, learn to be more confident.
Consider the following: most folks have learned that daily walks with their dog are at the center of being a “good pet parent.” However, according to Chris Zink DVM, Ph.D. DACVSMR, a typical on-leash walk, does not deliver gains in physical strength, proprioception, balance, flexibility, or aerobic capacity. Enter Fun Fitness!
Fun Fitness is demanding as it requires focus and attention from your dog, providing excellent mental stimulation. It requires team participation. The handler and dog will work collaboratively and learn how to progress at their own pace. Likewise, your dog will learn to listen to your subtle body cues and focus on the task at hand while surrounded by everyday distractions.
Open to 4 handlers and their dogs. Dogs must be comfortable working around other people and dogs. No lunging or excessive barking. Ages 5 months and older.
Dates: June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and July 2nd 2022. From 8 am to 8:45 am except for our first session, a people-only orientation, which is an hour in length from 8 am -9 am.
Fees: $ 247.00 (Santa Fe tax included).
Required Vaccinations: Dogs should be current on their DHLPP vaccines, OR provide a current titer test. Proof of vaccination or titer is required in the first class.
Class is held outside. Please dress appropriately.
