Canine Fitness for the Everyday Dog
What is Canine Fitness, you ask?
It is a joint activity with your dog that reaps many benefits.
- Increases proprioception and posture
- Improves weight distribution
- Improves muscle mass and muscle tone
- Increases flexibility
- Increase tolerance in handling and comfort with their environment.
- Increases the dog’s confidence level and problem-solving abilities.
- Fitness may prevent injury from daily activities such as hiking, canine sports, and daily living.
- Provides the dog with a mental workout – besides the physical aspect of engaging in fitness.
The Details:
The five-week course is open to any dog breed five months of age and older and comfortable working around other people and dogs.
Dates: Thursdays, May 11th, 18th, 25th, June 1st, and 8th from 6 pm-7 pm.
The first meeting is a people-only orientation. No dogs, please.
Fees: $ 267.50 (Santa Fe sales tax included).
Registration closes on Monday, May 8th at 5 pm or when class is full – whichever comes first.

The Puppy Play Time, Fitness and Socialization Meet-Up
New puppy at home? Join other puppy parents for supervised play time between the pups and socialization with people and their environment as your puppy learns about balance, impulse control, and attention by learning fitness exercises appropriate for young pups.
In addition, puppy parents will learn about their pup’s play style, recognize good play from puppy play that might not be appropriate, and teach how to re-engage with their pups in a distracting environme
The Details:
Open to six puppies of any breed ages eight weeks – 5 months.
Three, 40 minutes sessions.
Dates: Saturdays May 13th, 20th and 27th from 10 am – 10:40am
Registration closes on Wednesday May 10th or when class is full.
